Discography Goes Live!
March 8, 2011
Following several years of planning and input from a host of contributors, we are proud to announce the launch of this exciting new tool that will enable anyone to browse through Christopher's recordings, spanning a truly prolific career. Click here to explore.
Christopher's renowned historically-informed performance practice has earned him some of the highest accolades and produced some of the finest recordings: from his lengthy period with the Academy of Ancient Music during which time he issued over 200 recordings, including the complete Mozart and Beethoven symphonies; to his passion for the neo-classical demonstrated by numerous recordings of the works of Martinů, Stravinsky, Britten, Copland, Tippett and Honegger. With a recording output of over 40 years, for the first time ever we are able to survey this tremendous body of work in full.

A sample record from the Recordings database: Pergolesi's Salve Regina
The discography contains information on all of Christopher's recordings that have been issued on LP, CD, VHS and DVD formats. In keeping with ever-changing technologies, even Digital (MP3 downloads) and Blu-Ray formats are included in the database. It is ordered alphabetically by composer and can be navigated by using the A-Z links. Select composers with many recordings have their own link at the top of the page and works may also be subdivided by category (e.g. Instrumental, Secular Vocal, Sacred Vocal, etc.). A search facility is in development and will be available soon.
Drawing all of this information together was no mean feat and we would like to extend thanks to everyone who was involved in its creation. In particular, thanks go to Hannah Razzell for tirelessly working her way through Christopher's library of recordings; to Ryan Mark and Jonathan Dwerryhouse; and to Mat Barnett of MJB Data for his web-design work.
We hope that you enjoy using this new facility and we would very much appreciate any comments. Please address any feedback to office@hogwood.org. Happy browsing!
